A natural floor can be made of Marble, Granite, Travertine, Terrazzo, Onyx, or Limestone – just to name a few. The stone floor restoration process varies by the type of stone and the final finish that is desired, whether polished or honed.
Simply cleaning and polishing the marble will not remove wear from traffic or etches, (which are “spill” marks caused by acidic liquids coming into contact with the floor). To remove these, the stone must be restored by bringing it “down” to remove the damage, then back up in order for it to take a polish.
