Jerusalem Limestone is a great choice for your home in Pittsburgh. This small job required all of the voids or holes filled. Voids can be filled with different products but basically it comes down to two choices. Epoxy that will take a polish and will look like a natural part of the stone. The other option are products that will not take a polish. These are ideal for a honed finish. A epoxy fill, is in my opinion, the best looking option when you want to have a polished finish to your stone. The only downside is epoxy has a very strong odor during instillation and the restoration of the stone is a bigger project and more costly.
In this case (see photos) we did not use epoxy but a travertine filler. This option has a great look as well and is less costly.
Even with a lightly polished limestone the travertine filler looks great!
